Desert Heat

Wow, so I haven't posted in ages!

Recently I traveled to Las Vegas, Lake Havasu and Sedona. All which are places located in the desert. The temperature was around 110 degrees Fahrenheit which is about 44 degrees Celsius. We spent about 10 days starting from Las Vegas to London Bridge to Sedona and then back to Vegas. It was a very relaxing trip, one of the few that we take. Normally we pack in what to do everyday, but this time there were days when we'd just sit around the resort and do nothing.

While in Vegas I finally got to see what the TRENTA size was at Starbucks, apparently its like 31 oz ._.
It kind of looks like the Venti, but its definitely bigger than it. I can't believe they even have this -.-

We also decided to visit Hoover dam again. I was grateful that the heat wasn't too bad that day because my eyes did not feel like they were burning.

The reason for the visit was not necessarily to see the dam, we've already done that. But my dad really wanted to see the bridge that they built. Before back when there was no bridge, everyone wanting to take that route had to drive on the Hoover Dam which is only 1 lane, so it was a bit incontinent for truck drivers driving from Nevada to Arizona. Anyways, the last time we went to Hoover Dam was in 2008, which was also when we saw the beginning of construction for the bridge. It was finally completed last year I believe.

After Vegas we headed over to Lake Havasu. Why you may ask? to see the London Bridge which was bought by the founder of the town back in the 1970's. Apparently this place was a spring break hangout. It was pretty much dead when we went. Thankfully we were only there for 2 nights, there was just nothing to do. It's true, from the reviews that I read, they have an "English Village" and there's supposed to be shops and there was 1... a candle store! and it wasn't even open. Other than that you could buy "real Hawaiian shaved ice" :l

Finally escaping the boredom of Lake Havasu, we were on our way to Sedona. Such a beautiful place full of red rocks and it was cool compared to Vegas and Havasu. While we were there we decided to visit the Grand Canyon again. From Sedona it's only a 2 hour drive to the South Rim. Which is the good rim because the Indian's own the North Rim. (theres only 2 rims in the grand canyon for visitors.) Anyways, this time we decided to hike a bit into the canyon despite all the "DEATH IN THE CANYON" books and the fact that there's at least one rescue from the canyon each day.

That was pretty much the jist of my trip, I wish it was a little bit longer, but gotta get back to running around like a crazy person :l
