David's Tea

DAVID’s TEA!

The obsession actually began in September, when my friend came back from Halifax where apparently there’s a David’s tea on every corner. I wish that was the case here :l I have to trek to go find my tea. There’s actually a Teaopia near me but I don’t really like their selection. I’ve tried their teas and I’m not trying to side with just one tea company but… okay plain and simple, I love tea with coconut, so when the teaopia near me finally opened I went in and asked them if they had any tea with coconut. They said no. End of story! I have smelled and tried some of their teas but they aren’t as interesting and inviting as some of the ones I found and love at David’s Tea.

The other day I finally gave into ordering a tea called Cherry Blossom. Since mid-Feb I have been waiting for March 6th to roll around (It’s when the spring tea collection came out) Only to find out that it was online only. It came fairly quick, I received a notification when Canada post picked it up in Montreal and then the next day it was on my doorstep =]

Normally I would never order a tea online unless I’ve already tried it/ smelled it. But the description online was just so enticing:
If you’ve been to Japan in the spring, then you know about the cherry blossoms. People gather under the blooming trees to eat, drink and celebrate for days on end. This cherry tea brings you right there. It’s a festival of white Bai Mudan, green Darjeeling, Chinese green teas, dried cherries, coconut and rose petals. Many wish it could last all year long. But alas, come summer, it’s gone.

I also received 3 free samples of tea: Secret Weapon (which is amazing! so many flavours!), Silk Dragon Jasmine, and Exotica.

I finally got around to trying Cherry Blossom and I’m not in love with it, but I don’t hate it either. (which is good because I have 100g of it :l) At first I was unsure because the floral and cherry smell is very overwhelming, after you steep it though its not too bad. It has a hint of floral but not too much. It has the right proportions which is good.

My favourite tea, which I must discuss a little, is Fantasy Island! I only discovered it about a month or 2 ago and I just love it! The smell is just so intoxicatingly addicting. It’s a black tea with coconut (yum!) and raspberries! (my favourite fruit). All three of these are my favourites equalling an amazing tea! I am so grateful that Fantasy Island won for the “back from the dead” tea contest, or else I never would have found it! Thus my tea life being incomplete.
