UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!! =D
We are the type of people who are at the gates when it opens, and thank goodness we were… SO MANY PEOPLE!!! We started with Universal’s Island’s of Adventures so of course we hit the best ride there first… Spiderman! Which I think was among the top 10 rides in the world. I remember at one point Island’s of Adventures was rated the number one park in the world too =]Anyways this year, sadly, we only got to ride Spiderman once because the line quickly grew. Usually we ride it at least 3 times in a row. Seriously that ride is awesome you should drive down to Orlando and ride it! =D We pretty much got through the park in the first half of the day despite the crowds. Unfortunately we didn’t ride duelling dragons because it was a huge line. Another unfortunate thing was that currently they are building a Harry Potter themed area and it wasn’t open yet! :O Hopefully I will get to go again when it opens so I can walk through Hogsmead and pretend to be in Harry Potter world.. I think it’s truly amazing when books come to real life and you get to like stand in the middle of it all.
Then off the Universal Studios we went! Since the last time we’ve been there they changed a couple of rides and put some new ones in. Back to the Future the ride was gone!! T-T and it was replaced by the Simpson’s ride which I have to say was pretty awesome. And the 40 minute wait felt like nothing because they TVs everywhere showing the Simpsons that was specially made for the ride. The theme of it was Krusty World and they even made fun of the back to the future ride and they showed how it got replaced by Krusty world. I think that was the only good change they made in the park so far.
Almost there - waiting in line for the Simpson's Ride
Best part from the ride:
Side Show Bob: Now get into the car so you can hurl to your doom!
Lisa: We'll never get on the ride!
*Homer sitting in the car for the ride*
Lisa: DAD?!
Homer: I waited in line for an HOUR, I am riding this ride!!!
They had a new ride there called “Rock it” it was a rollercoaster that plays music as you ride. It was a terrible ride and we waited 2 hour in line for it!! -.- They also redid a ride that use to be called ‘Earthquake’ and changed it to ‘Disaster’ and they made it all cheesy and everything.
In between line waiting and parade dodging we went out to City Walk to go eat dinner. Finally we got to eat at my favourite restaurant Bubba Gumps! They only have locations in 10 states (I’ve been to 2 other states which had them) After a delicious dinner we went back into Universal and rode ‘Rock it’ then called it a day =]
