Hot Springs

Today was one of those days where you scope out the place. Our resort has a golf course on it so we decided to go check out the prices.. it was expensive!! So we went to look at the Hot Springs... since the place is called Fairmont HOT SPRINGS one must assume that there is a hot spring!

Now when I pictured a hot spring in my mind its like the rock formation thing with water and steam rising from it, does anyone else have this image in their mind or is it just me? Anyways the hot springs is a POOL! That's right a swimming pool!! With like a diving board and everything :l it totally killed my vision of a nice relaxing hot springs.

After the disappointment we decided to go look for a place to buy groceries. We drove about 30 mins till we got to the biggest town in the areas called Invemere. We thankfully found a Sobey's there =]

After locating the grocery store we headed out to radium hot springs to check out their hot springs and the stuff in the area. We went into a visitor center where we bought an annual Canadian National Parks pass (which was a lot more expensive than the American one :l) 

We then drove up the road to Kootney National Park because we could now go to as many parks as we wished witht the park pass =] There wasn't much to see or do in Kootney so after a while we just headed back to Sobeys and bought food for dinner and then drove 30 mins back to the resort to eat it. Kind of makes me miss having the convinence of a Walmart just around the corner like they do in the States =P
